She loves to paint

Our little Lexi loves to paint. Just a little while ago Lexi decided to paint out kitchen table in beautiful rainbow colors.

Luckily in was washable paint and came right off the table, the floor and her. We'll today was another painting adventure. However this time the paint won. It was finger nail polish and ended up on the couch, walls, towels, pillows, carpet and of course all over Lexi. Here she is after the first round of scrubbing

Lexi is a right handed painter and so most of the damage isn't visible in this picture because it's all on the right side of her body. It's easier for her to reach. But you can see her nice polish lipstick. That I later found still in her teeth.  After a long wash and even trying polish remover on her here's what was left over STILL

So now I have a couch to cover, an entire wall to paint new and a few towels that might never be the same. I think it's time to keep a closer watch on my little artist.

1st Day of School

Kaylin had her first day of school. It was very exciting.  She was jumping around and asking every few minutes "Mom, can we go to school yet?" And when we finally did there was only bravery.  She walked right up to her class room waved good bye and did her big girl thing. I was so proud of her.  The only tears were from Lexi who wanted to go have this new fun experience too.  Oh well she went to the bank and got a lollypop instead.

And yes Kaylin did have some red curls for the special event.

Here is Kaylin's after school picture.  She wanted to show her victory muscles, because she was awesome and so brave!

Surprise trip to the ZOO

This weekend we took the girls on a surprise trip to the Boise zoo. We all had a great time.

Feeding the geese. One of them bit Kaylin.

Big Birds!

Our zoo has dinosaurs! They move around, screech, splash in the water, and even spray venom so watch out!

We also have a wallaby walk about where you can go right in with the wallabies.

Lexi loved the Serval

And the snow leopard loved us

The butterflies were in bloom. You could go in and if you were lucky enough they might land on you. JT was the butterfly whisperer.  As one flew off a new one landed. Everyone was jealous.

It was a "super duper awesome fun day!"

August 2014

Our August was an exceptionally rainy one. There we several flash floods in Idaho, gladly not too close to us but we were still getting lots of rain.

Lexi's primary teacher, who lives two houses down, is raising chickens. We love to visit and check on those cute chickens.

Lexi made me a beautiful painting on my kitchen table. What an artist!

One day after church the rain had stopped and the sun came out. We had to enjoy it.

July 2014

Happy 4th of July! We had a fun packed day of parade, friends, bbq, and fireworks.
