Kaylin is Two!

Kaylin just turned two years old. She is so cute and fun, we love her so much.

Pictures of the new house

I know that the pictures of the new house are very confusing. you must think of it as a 360 degree view of the rooms. But don't worry if it doesn't make sense when we finally get into the house and get things set up and painted and even more beautiful we will be taking better pictures and probably a quick video. This way you can really see what it looks like and not a scatted of odd pictures. We are so excited to move in and are slowly getting ready for the big day.

Our new house!

Here are some pictures of our new house. I tried to stick them together for each room. i hope it doesn't make it too confusing.

Here is obviously the front of the house


This is the hall way and dining room, and sorry this one is very confusing. from left to right is first the front double entry, next is the hall way down to the garage, laundry and master bedroom. then is the half bath which is under the stairs and across the way from the dining area. there is only one hanging light in the dinning area we just got two angles on it.



This is the kitchen also a bit confusing just know there is only one sink so you'll have to use your imagination.



this is the family room which is on the opposite side of the dining area. the fireplace is a look through from the family room to the dining.



Going up the stairs there is a good size landing and closet that leads to the other rooms.

Back downstairs is the master bedroom . just on the side there we added the bathroom.

Adventures with Dad

Kaylin certainly has her dads love for adventure and the outdoors.

We took a family hike up the mountain ridge just across the street from us. Kaylin insisted to walk the whole way until it was time for a nap on the way back down.



Jt got a kayak a bit ago. Kaylin loves it!!!!! Everytime he brings it out she has to get in it or jump on it. As far as she's concerned its her toy not dads.

Easter Egg Hunt

Kaylin loved having an Easter egg hunt this year. Its all she wanted to do Easter morning and we ended up re-hiding the eggs about 3 or more times.

Exploring Deirkes

We went exploring around deirkes lake a bit ago so that we could find new climbing routes and plan our next trip. But that day we had Kaylin so we could only boulder around and stay pretty close to the ground. Kaylin as you will see had some fun climbing too and just getting to find different hiding places.

Discovering Weather

We have had quite a range of weather here as its turning warmer and Kaylin is loving discovering all the different types. She likes to play in the snow as long as she is dressed warm and not a single snowflake gets on the top of her shoes (she really hates that).


She was also happy to play in the rain and learn the game of puddle jumping.



We are most excited however for the warm sunny days we are finally starting to have.

Even more new climbing gear

Last month we finished off our climbing gear purchases for a while. We now hope to have all the gear that we'll need for the two of us to go sport climbing. Of course we had to pull everything out and play with it for a while and Kaylin was just as excited about it as Jt and I. Naturally Kaylin wanted to be just like her dad and get geared up as well. Then after they rigged up a swing with it and had some fun.

First Bike Ride

The First weekend of April we went on our first family bike ride. It was very cold but a lot of fun. Kaylin really enjoyed getting out and seeing everything as we rode up the valley bike trail. We were unable to go as far as we would have like because we eventually ran into too much snow on the bike trail. But we were still able to go about 8 miles. By the end Kaylins little hands were so cold and she was tired we were worried that she might have not enjoyed it but now when ever she sees the bikes she can't seem to get up into her seat fast enough. We have gone on several rides since our first and love every one of them.

Lost photos of last year

So i just found these pictures from last year. The first couple are of a dirt biking ride JT went on. The next are a hike that we took here close to home where unknowingly the trails were already gathering snow. And the last picture is JT's fish that he caught while fishing with his friend Steve. We ate it, it was yummy!
