Our Garden is Growing!

Our garden is growing! Yay!!! We went out this morning to check on the garden and i think everything grew a foot taller over night. Everything is looking good except one of our poor cucumber plants that mysteriously died and shriveled away and our peppers that unfortunately don't get enough sun during the day. we are getting really excited to start tasting all our hard work.

From right to left are onions, peppers started from seed, peppers bought prestarted, and our 3 varieties of tomatoes. Photobucket

4th of July Fun!

We had a great 4th of July this year. Sadly JT worked during the day but Kaylin and I went out to celebrate with our friends the Brady's till both Dads got home from work. Kaylin and I spent the morning fitting her fireworks skirt to her that i had made all by myself the day before. I just had to be proud of myself for making something Kaylin loves so much, plus I think its pretty darn cute too! (So make sure to notice both outfits Kaylin is wearing, I made them both!) Once we got going we went to the parade and say lots of fun things. The kids favorite was the candy and otter pops being thrown out from every float. After the parade we went back to the Brady's house and had swim time! Kaylin just thought the blow up slide was as fun as it gets. Of course there was lunch and popsicles too. After that was thankfully nap time in preparation for the fireworks show that night. When Jt got home we did fireworks at our house. JT let Kaylin help light every one, and even throw the exploders. She was so excited to do all the fireworks, and loved that she even got to hold the sparklers herself. then of course was the big firework display for the night. They launch the big fireworks from the high school which is just around the corner from us so we had a great view right from our house. Needless to say it was a great day packed with fun and celebration!
