Rock climbing

Jt and i have recently picked up the sport of rock climbing. it is so much fun. we have a great time together. After work Kaylin and I meet Jt at the gym where Kaylin goes to a little day care place that she loves and the ladies that work there love Kaylin. They always look forward to seeing our cute little one because she is always so happy and excited to be there with new faces and toys to explore. then Jt and I will go climb the wall or work out up stairs (but climbing is the funnest) we have really been enjoying the extra time that we have just to do something ourselves. Last week I got checked off to lead climb with Jt. this is where instead of having the rope anchored at the top of the wall already for you, you take the rope up and clip into bolts as you go up. Its much harder and scarier to do but still fun and good to know. well Jt was doing a lead climb and was pretty high up as he was trying to get over a difficult over hang area. well just as he made it over he didnt quite make it to the next clip and fell about 7 or 8 ft down before the rope caught him. Don't worry he was super safe, that's just how it goes. but it sure got his heart pumping.

For Valentines day Grandma got Kaylin a little teddy bear and she has been loving it!

the rolling continues

Every once in a while Kaylin decides to roll over. Heres the latest.

The backpack

We have a little backpack carrier for Kaylin and she loves being paraded about in it. The only problem is that she loves it so much that once we put her in it she doesn't want to get out. well after a while it starts hurting your back. So one Sunday Jt was carrying Kaylin while doing some things around the house but he eventually needed to put her down. once she wasnt standing upright anymore she wasnt happy at all. So Jt hung her on the door knob and she thought it was great!




And then a few days after we did that i had to hang her up again. This time her feet reached just a bit more to that ground and she would walk the door closed. i had to keep opening it so she didnt squish herself. it was super cute.

Thumb Sucking

Kaylin has started sucking on her thumb and it is super cute. She still likes her pacifier more but sometimes when she is sleeping its easier for her to find the thumb.

Kaylin 4 months old

Kaylin went in for her 4 month check up this week. she was 14lb 3oz and 23 1/2 inches long. i dont remember her exact percentiles but she was in the 50's for weight and 10's for height. so she's a little short chubber. we've been meaning to keep everyone, especially the grandparents updated on whats going on but i forget, sorry. so here are some new pictures and videos of the little one.




she has been doing so good at holding her head up



and she loves playing with her little piano





so we put Kaylin in one of my old dresses and i thought she kind of started to look like me. notice the chubby round head and especially how the ears stick out.







and unfortunatly we didnt capture kaylin actually doing it but she rolled over for the first time . this is her right after



this video really isnt very exciting but you can see how well she hold herself up now compared to just a few weeks ago when she would just kick and smash her face into the blanket.



these are just some extra videos that we have that are kind of fun. the first is of her one morning, shes just always so happy after she gets a good night sleep. the second is just one night we were playing games with some friends when we noticed kaylin licking her car seat.
